Scientific name: Ursus maritimus. Where it lives: Arctic coasts and seas, including around Hudson Bay. What it eats: Mostly seals. Sea ice is frozen seawater. It gives the bear a platform for hunting seals. Small ears and a short tail help reduce heat loss.
Look together: Are its ears large or small? Draw large pieces of sea ice with water passages between them.
