Colour, discover, talk together

Atlasmio books invite children ages 4–9 to discover the world with an adult. A drawing to explore, a short text to read and a question start the conversation. The online companions are optional: the books can also be enjoyed without a screen.

Learning together

The questions and activities encourage children to notice details, make connections and imagine. There is no score to earn. The explanations for parents provide context to keep the conversation going.

Sources for further discovery

The informational pages link to museums, institutions, organizations or communities that shed light on their subjects. Each page shows its preparation date. Imaginary scenes are identified as such, without claiming that a particular historical event took place. References identify the institution and the related lesson; some linked pages are in French.

The books offer a selection from the history of the world, not a complete account. Indigenous peoples have their own histories and are present today. Nations and communities are named when the sources support doing so.

Illustrations for colouring

The drawings simplify places, people and scenes for colouring. They support discovery, but are not historical documents or exact reconstructions. The website images are reduced previews, not intended for printing or redistribution. To colour, use the book.

How the books are prepared

The texts, illustrations and English translations were created using artificial intelligence tools, then reviewed and revised. The sources support further reading and checking the information presented. The French and English editions share the same selected illustrations and scenes.
