Atlasmio pages accompany colouring scenes for children ages 4–7. An adult can read aloud, listen to the answers and keep the conversation going.

Sources to explore

The pages link to organizations, museums, institutions and communities that document their subjects. The main text stays short, while the adult section adds useful context. Source titles remain in their original language; some linked pages are in French.

Drawings that simplify

The illustrations are original, simplified compositions. They do not reproduce every detail of a monument, person or period. An imaginary scene is not a photograph or historical evidence.

Selected moments from history

These drawings cannot tell the whole history of Québec. Indigenous societies are present today and have their own histories. The pages name specific nations or communities when the sources support doing so.

The editorial cutoff for this edition is September 12, 2026. A scene set in the present does not claim that a particular event took place.

The books stand on their own

The online material is optional. Children can colour, read and talk without a phone or Internet connection. Questions invite observation and imagination; there is no score to earn.
