Scientific name: Lithobates catesbeianus. Where it lives: Eastern and south-central Canadian waters; introduced elsewhere. What it eats: Insects and other animals it can catch. Bullfrogs mainly use water that remains throughout the year. A tadpole lives underwater before gradually changing into a frog.
