Scientific name: Lynx canadensis. Where it lives: Mainly Canada’s boreal forests. What it eats: Mostly snowshoe hares. Its broad feet spread its weight over snow, rather like snowshoes. Snowshoe hares are especially important in a Canada lynx’s diet.
