Scientific name: Fratercula arctica. Where it lives: Canada’s Atlantic coasts and islands; open ocean outside breeding season. What it eats: Mostly small fish. Its bill and face change appearance after breeding. A winter puffin therefore looks different from one seen around nesting colonies in summer.
