Scientific name: Oreamnos americanus. Where it lives: Mountains of western and northwestern Canada. What it eats: Grasses, leaves and other mountain plants. Each hoof has two parts that can spread apart. Together with soft pads, they help this animal find a firm footing on steep ground.
