Scientific name: Alces alces. Where it lives: Forests and wetlands across many parts of Canada. What it eats: Leaves, twigs and aquatic plants. A male’s broad, flat antlers are not permanent horns. Moose choose different plants as the seasons change and can also feed in the water.
