The National Circus School describes juggling as a skill involving throwing, catching and throwing objects again. Props may include balls, rings or clubs, and people can practise individually or together. The drawing uses just three balls to make the movement easier to imagine.
Notice what is in the air and what is close to the hands. Tell the journey of one ball before looking at the whole scene. A first activity need not reproduce the act shown. Moving a soft object between people already explores attention to movement without aiming for a performance.
