Scotty is the nickname of a large fossil Tyrannosaurus. Specialists worked patiently to free its bones from very hard rock.

Scotty was discovered in 1991 in Saskatchewan’s Frenchman River Valley. Work to free its bones continued for more than twenty years. About 65% of the skeleton was recovered, so a mounted skeleton can include reconstructed parts.
